HAYLEY'S WORLD

"LET LIPS DO WHAT HANDS DO"

"LET LIPS DO WHAT HANDS DO"

“You are a lover. Borrow Cupid's wings and soar with them above a common bound.” Earlier this year we had an opportunity to shoot on location at a sprawling estate just outside of Toronto. We recruited a team of Hayley's favourite models, and borrowed a couple classic VW Beatles for this Romeo and Juliet themed shoot.  Styling Hayley pieces with more subdued wardrobe staples, we reimagined Shakespeare's classic in a modern suburbia.  All of the pieces shown are now heavily discounted as part of our end of season clearance program. Check out this gorgeous shoot, and add a pop of...

CITY PONY

CITY PONY

We shot 17-Year Old Canadian musician, Ebhoni  in and around downtown Toronto in our FW17 collection, Déjá Moon. The collection, which debuted this February at New York Fashion Week, is inspired by My Little Pony and features classic Pony imagery with a bold and unique colour palette for the colder months.  You can listen to some of Ebhoni's amazing music here. Her 2017 EP, 'Mood Ring' is a pop music masterclass with elements of R'n'B, Funk, Hip Hop and EDM fusing seamlessly, highlighted by Ebhoni's deceptively mature delivery and polished vocal range. Her ethereal but bouncy track, Killing Roses already has 237K streams on Souncloud...

HAYLEY ELSAESSER SS18 'TEENAGE WASTELAND' AT TORONTO FASHION WEEK

Check out this special behind the scenes and runway footage from Hayley Elsaesser's SS18 show, Teenage Wasteland from Toronto Fashion Week on September 7th, 2017. Hayley’s SS18 collection, named for The Who’s classic song ‘Baba O’Riley’ from ‘The Kids are Alright’ is a vision of post-apocalyptic optimism. Only the youth have survived and have congregated in the nuclear desert. They adorn themselves with colourful relics of their carefree life before ‘the event’ and wait out their days in hedonistic celebration of the culture they lost. Teenage Wasteland is their dystopian country club.   The collection is designed to fully embody...

NIKE AIR SOCIETY - NIKE X HAYLEY ELSAESSER

Hayley was approached by Nike to join the Toronto ‘Nike Air Society’ with a collaborative project along with fellow Canadian designers- Smythe and Markoo. Each designer styled pieces with Nike clothing and the VaporMax shoes, creating unique looks each inspired by a different VaporMax colourway: “Chrome Blush” for Smythe, “Black Anthracite” for Hayley and “Pure Platinum” for Markoo.     Keeping in the spirit of collaboration, the designers each selected a muse to model the clothing in the official lookbook photos. Hayley’s muse, Sandy Gill is a celeb stylist and grade 6 teacher who perfectly embodies the spirit of individuality...
