I recently collaborated with Toronto musician @nixxonsound, a multi-talented rapper/singer who got his start alongside The Weeknd in their group Bulleez ‘n’ Nerdz. I recently got a new Google Pixel 2 phone, and I was excited to put together a video that matched the dynamic cadence, and molasses-thick instrumentation of his track “Split”, while staying true to my light and colourful aesthetic.
I shot this video entirely on my Pixel 2 and was amazed by the amazing quality and its ability to capture the true colours of my clothes so well. With the stabilization capabilities of the phone, each shot is as smooth as Nixxon’s verses.
