I would describe myself as a fat Barbie internet nymph. My style is very femme. If I see a rack of clothes I go towards stuff in that pink-pastel colour, things with not a lot of fabric, and that are tight - I like tight clothes! I remember in High School, I was thinking about this recently, the clothes that I would wear - oversized graphic tees and jeans, ‘cause that’s all I knew how to dress for my body. There wasn’t representation of fun plus size clothes. I remember shopping at old fat lady stores - that was a thing, but none of the clothes would be on style with what the rest of my high school was wearing. So I was definitely kind of outcasted. Hayley Elsaesser is fun, bold… I feel like a place where you can play. It’s been extremely positive, my experience modelling. It’s shown me what the fashion industry could be. They way she casts people, even the sizing and stuff like that too, that is so incredibly important to having representation for people.
