"I didn't always have a turban. I used to have cut hair when I was in middle school. I was learning about my culture and my religion a little bit more. During that time it was, like, "Who am I? Do I fit in? Am I going to get bullied if I have a Turban?" I look different, and there's not a lot of people like me in the entertainment industry. South Asian models or actors - I don't see a lot of those. That's something I wanted to be. I wanted to be the inspiration for the next generation of people that look different. Hayley gave that opportunity. They're not the typical brand. The back story behind it is way different. Hayley is trying to change the game. Every time I do a show or I get a gig, my mom, she's, like, "This is great! But did you thank God? Are you being humble about it?" And I proudly represent my culture, my religion."
