"I grew up in a very small town where there wasn't really any culture, and there wasn't really any celebration of individuality. It was very much 'be a good factory worker, get drunk on the weekend, wear what you're supposed to wear, don't question things,' and I couldn't fit into that even if I wanted to. And it wasn't until I allowed myself to experiment with my style and the way I presented that I could find comfort in my appearance. I think my facial structure makes me unique and it's something that I'm very grateful for, even though it caused me a lot of pain growing up because people would make fun of me or - honestly, make me feel like a monster. But now I love those features and I think they're what make me separate from a crowd without having to try. And I like that! I don't have any desire to fit in."
